Goth Fashion has Evolved with the Times

Unfortunately for the people who hate to shop online, I have bad news for you. If you want really good Goth Fashion most of the stores you will find are strictly online or too far away for you to go for a drive across the country, or to another country depending on what type of Goth Style you are looking for.

Places People use to go for Goth attire:

Hot Topic & Spencer's. Both these stores are owned by the Same "main company" but are often found in the mall next door to each other. I use to shop at these places as a teen because there was little to no options for me. However, as I have grown up I discovered if you shop at Hot Topic and Spencer's they don't have the Top Quality Stuff. Some of their things I bought lasted 12 years, others several months. The inconsistency has made me not go to Hot Topic/Spencer's unless they have some specialty item I am looking for.

I will say authentic Goth attire, that is well made is not cheap in price. However, value the longer the cloths last as long as you follow the care instructions that comes with it. REMEMBER to read care instructions especially for Steampunk and Victorian Goth type styles. Remember there was no washers and dryers in Victorian times.

Recently I just discovered an online Store that has been around since 1996. I have ordered a few items from the store: 2 Tops, 1 Armwarmers, & 1 Lipstick. I will let you know what I think of it after the items arrive. However, if you want to look into it yourself the store is called GoodGoth and its strictly an online store.

Also a Store I frequently look at is Vampirefreaks, they have a real world location in New York or so I've heard. I don't live on that part of the country so I only browse online. I will buy a T-Shirt from them here and there. Unfortunately, I'm a plus sized girl and it's difficult to shop for the fashion I desire in my size. Vampirefreaks is also a social media site for those of the Goth/Underground Music Culture you can add me if you decide to join @Jessika_Darkstar.

Another store I covet, as in I look at and oogle my eyes at is called Heavy Red. I've been staring at their "Alice in Wonderland Collection" since they made the first dress. Every Halloween they come out with a new "Alice" dress and they are to die for. One of these days I am going to buy one if not all of the dresses from previous seasons. It's very difficult to make up my mind.

There are many online stores that sell the Goth fashion, however Steampunk is harder to come by. Lots of people may like Steampunk but not enough for it to appear everywhere. I have noticed even on the Goth sites that the Steampunk fashion they have to offer either doesn't seem SteamPunk at all or the site itself is a hoax to get you to pay them money and you have to go through your bank or pay pal to get it back. Be careful from where you shop there are many scams online that will act like legitimate sites, but they are bold face lies and people out to steal your hard earned cash.

If you have any other Goth Fashion Stores that you like to shop (meaning you have purchased and are happy with your products that you purchased) please feel free to leave a comment with the name/link to the store in question. You can either leave a comment on this post or go to my contact page and tell me there.
